HARP LESSONS

Why I Teach: I love what I do and it makes me so happy to be able to share my passion with others. Since starting as a professional Harp Teacher in 2000, I’ve been privileged to see so many students discover their natural skills and abilities and reach results they never dreamed were possible. Student Requirements: I accept students of all ages and experience levels. Lessons are offered weekly or bi-monthly.  I am happy to help find a rental instrument for new students.

Lesson Focus: 

• Learning to play songs you enjoy with good technique

• Rhythm and counting mastery

• Maximizing warm up, exercise, and practice time

• Dynamics and Delivery improvement

• Creating community around music

Approach:

To inspire students to realize that their progress is self driven.  With attentive regular efficient practice, I believe every student can become an accomplished player and performer.

Outcomes:

Harp studies with me are focused on technique, avoiding injury, sight reading, dynamics, delivery, and performance. I incorporate theory, rhythm studies, and efficient practicing techniques, and encourage students to learn classic pieces and selections that inspire. Seeing students progress in music and develop self drive are my greatest joys in teaching.
